If you're a newcomer to NLP, welcome. And if you're just taking a leisurely stroll round this site, welcome to you, too.
Important: In compiling this list I have aimed to included ONLY those books which do not require any prior knowledge of NLP, either because they are so basic that even a person with no prior knowledge could make sense of them; or because the author(s) have taken care to explain any material which goes beyond novice level.
As you may have discovered already, there are far more books in this cateory - Introduction to NLP - than in any other area of NLP literature. Having said that, some introductions are pretty general. Others, though they may, in some cases, cover much the same ground, are geared for a particular audience: therapists, educators, business people and so on.
In creating this list I have done my best to group the books into the appropriate categories. If any authors think their book has been placed in the wrong category, please let me know.
Within each category the books are arranged first by rating (top rated first), and then by author.
And to all ye who enter here, I hope it will prove useful.
Just click on a book title to see the corresponding review.
Recommendation:If you are new to NLP, read My Voice Will Go With You before you read any books on NLP. If you're already involved with NLP and you haven't read this book, do read it - as soon as possible.
Why? Because (in my opinion, of course), when you understand Erickson's work, you are well on the way to understanding NLP at a far deeper level than just learning a few techniques.
